Social Responsibility
At NRG PALLAS, we deploy our nuclear expertise and infrastructure every day for world health and a CO2-neutral energy supply. With this mission and vision, we strive to have a positive impact on our environment. Our various activities contribute to the future-proofing of both the world and our organisation.
Our ambitions in terms of people, the environment and society are bundled under the heading of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Our CSR ambitions are divided into three themes: Health & Safety, Energy & Climate, and Diversity & Inclusivity.
Health & Safety
Health & Safety is deeply embedded in our organisation, as safety is one of our core values. Health includes not only the development of innovative applications for nuclear medicine, but also the health and safety of our employees. We continuously work on reducing radiation exposure, sustainable employability and improvements through our internal notification and action recording system.
Energy & Climate
With Energy & Climate, we subscribe to the goals of the Paris climate agreement. We aim to achieve 34% CO2 reduction in our operations by 2030 and net zero CO2 emissions by 2050. We do this by optimising energy efficiency and phasing out fossil energy. We also want to reduce our nitrogen emissions and take into account biodiversity on our site, which is located in a Natura 2000 area.
Diversity & Inclusivity
We are further developing and fleshing out Diversity & Inclusivity. A diverse and inclusive working environment with a variety of perspectives and knowledge strengthens both security and entrepreneurship. We want to be an attractive employer where employees feel engaged, respected and valued. This year, we started workshops to raise awareness on this topic. Awareness is the first step, but it is only a starting point and a call to action. Diversity and inclusion are extensive topics that we want to deepen and shape in the coming years.
Constant attention
The three themes within our CSR ambitions are reflected in our work on a daily basis. By paying constant attention to them, we remain futureproof and are committed to making a positive impact.
