Partners
NRG PALLAS, together with our partners, will build the PALLAS-reactor to secure the future supply of medical isotopes for diagnosis and treatment, and to advance research on how nuclear energy can contribute to a CO₂-free energy mix.

ICHOS
A European tender was organized for the design of the PALLAS-reactor, targeting parties with proven experience in designing multifunctional research reactors. The contract was awarded to ICHOS, an Argentinian-Dutch consortium.
Since signing the contract on January 24, 2018, ICHOS has been responsible for the reactor’s design, parts of the implementation, and its commissioning. Through a so-called Keep Well Agreement, NRG PALLAS is assured of full support and resource availability from all ICHOS partners.
ICHOS was founded by the Argentinian state-owned company INVAP, who is still the owner.

INVAP
INVAP is an Argentinian company specialising in the design and construction of complex engineering systems, with nuclear multipurpose reactors at its core. INVAP is also further involved in the design and construction of Earth observation and telecommunication satellites, industrial plants, radar systems, and radiotherapy centres.
In its own laboratories and workshops, INVAP produces all critical components for nuclear reactors, such as nuclear and conventional instruments, radiation detectors, control rod drives, radiological control equipment, and nuclear-qualified mechanical parts and equipment. INVAP has accumulated worldwide experience and unique expertise over more than 40 years in designing, constructing, and licensing multipurpose reactors in Argentina, Peru, Algeria, Egypt, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil, among others.
