RPO: Dispersible radioactive substances level C
This practical training program is designed to train employees who supervise operations involving dispersible radioactive substances (open sources) in radionuclide laboratories at Level C, with a maximum radioactivity level of 20 Reinh.
If you are not in a supervisory role but still work with radioactive substances in a dispersible form and seek more depth than the RPO DRS-D course offers, then this program is for you!

- Practical radiation protection: safe handling of dispersible radioactive substances
- Communication skills and attitude
Required prior knowledge
NRG PALLAS recommends prior education of EQF level 4 or higher (Dutch: “MBO level-4” or higher). You will also need mathematical skills and insights. In addition to contact hours, you will spend about 32 hours on self-study.
Refresher course mathematics
To participate, you must have the following mathematical skills:
- Working with a scientific calculator
- Scientific notation
- Prefixes
- Solving and transforming equations
- Logarithmic calculations
- Statistics
If you want to refresh your knowledge, register for a mathematics refresher course. This course lasts two mornings, after which you will be well prepared for the program.
