Nariaki Sakaba 

Dr. Nariaki Sakaba is Director in charge of the HTGR (High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor) Project in Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA).  JAEA is now involving five HTGR projects.  Three projects, HTTR hydrogen production project, HTGR demonstration project, and HTGR fuel development project are Japanese programme and he is a project leader.  Two projects, UK HTGR demonstration programme, and UK HTGR fuel programme are foreign projects and he leads from Japanese side.  He has led Generation IV International Forum of VHTR Hydrogen Production Project Management Board as a Chair from 2005 through 2008.  He was a project leader of membrane IS process for hydrogen production project in cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation promotion Program (SIP) Energy Carriers - Japan.
