Webinar information
High Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactors (HTGRs) are advanced Generation IV nuclear reactors designed to operate at very high temperatures. Their core features a graphite moderator, helium coolant, and TRISO fuel, enabling exceptional thermal performance. With outlet temperatures suitable for both energy production and industrial heat applications, HTGRs offers a range of power outputs from 10 MWe to 300 MWe. A key advantage of HTGRs is their modularity: they can be factory-assembled, easily transported, and integrated into a diverse set of energy systems, making them a flexible and scalable solution for multitude of energy needs.
We are excited that the following experts will share their knowledge during the webinar:
- André Steenhuis (Allseas): Development and application of HTGR design for offshore vessels and additional onshore applications
- Kazuhito Asano (JAEA): Development and application plans of the HTGR at JAEA
The webinar is led by Tim van Lunteren of NRG PALLAS.
