Luca Silvioli

Luca is an R&D manager with an education in industrial chemistry and catalysis, and holds a PhD in computational chemistry from the University of Copenhagen. While having no nuclear education, for the last 7 years he has specialised in transferring knowledge from the field of chemistry to the nuclear sector, developing and testing chemical process technologies in the advanced reactor field.

He worked 5 years for Saltfoss Energy prototyping chemistry control solutions for molten salt reactors. Currently, he is employed at newcleo, where he leads a team of 11 engineers and researchers working on fast reactor materials qualification and coolant chemistry control technology scale-up.
