Robert Magnusson
Robert Magnusson works with structural integrity at the Ringhals Nuclear Power Plant, focusing on material behavior, fatigue assessment, and challenges related to operational transients. His work includes both practical evaluations and long term strategies to maintain component performance and safety. Alongside his role at Ringhals, he is involved in research at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where he contributes to studies on material response, fatigue mechanisms, and methods supporting structural integrity assessments. He is further involved in additive manufacturing initiatives, where he investigates the mechanical properties and fatigue characteristics of AM materials and components. Through this work, he contributes to developing robust evaluation methods that enable the safe and effective use of AM technologies in critical structural applications. Robert also participates in international collaborations within the nuclear industry, contributing to discussions on best practices, analysis methodologies, and long term operation considerations. His involvement includes technical exchanges and cooperative efforts aimed at strengthening knowledge and improving structural integrity evaluations in various contexts.
